Today is day one of owning a red 2000 xkr 4.0. I purchased it at a discount with the understanding that the transmission has antifreeze contamination and will need to be replaced or rebuilt.
The engine runs smooth, but I'm planning on changing the timing chains and tensioners before I put it on the road. The rest of the car seems in decent shape considering it's age and price.
I'm really excited to get it up and running. Just loaded her up and getting ready for a long ride home. Im not sure what color red it is just yet. After a 4hr ride, im happy to be home with my new project.
