This is an Autoweek post from 2007. It makes for a really good read. It had me convinced that it was a good idea.

I was involved in the X type R (supercharged) and even played around with a high output Naturally aspirated V6 on the dyno for both the X type and the X600 roadster.
I've even driven X type R prototypes. They were to have about 330 Bhp and stonking torque. It's a crying shame that the X type R and the X600 was cancelled
