Top Gear on Jaguar owners and the new XJ

I'm not sure how many of you watch Top Gear, but this segment on Jag owners and the new XJ had me rolling.

For the record, while the new XJ is nice, I prefer the old one.

That was pretty funny. Kind of reminds me of the comparison between Jaguar owners and Daimler owners. Daimlers were for bankers and doctors while Jaguars were for cads.

Top Gear have been kind to Jags. I watched a repeat with the X-Type estate where Clarkson is being towed behind it on skis. He raved about it. I also loved the modernised XJ-S that James May reviewed. The new XK was also loved, for its looks and noise, despite an issue with its spoiler and the relatively old engine design.

For the most part, Top Gear has always been kind to all British cars. Hmmmm? It's okay though. For the most part, I'm on agreement with Top Gear and their car ratings.

Both Rover, over the Citycar and Vauxhall over the Mk1 Vectra put in complaints to the BBC over the slagging those cars got on Top Gear.

I am not suprprised Jeremy Clarkson continually bashes those rides you mentioned , he even calls Porsches as VW Beetles so what would they expect from him ?

I'd watch out how "correct" you say Jeremy "always" is. Keep in mind that the Top Gear boys hated the S-Type. (Series 4 Episode 6)
