Default A/C hose replacement not to compressor

I have had a refrigerant leak from the hose that duckes down up by the windshield. Not the compressor one....anyway just ordered the new hose. Do you guys know if there is anything i need to do special other than pulling the old one off and replacing ????? Tks.

Have the system evacuated for one thing!

Be very careful removing the old hose. If you break the evaporator stem, you're sunk. Make sure to support the stem so it doesn't twist off!

Use new o-rings, of course
