Default Fuel related No Start

Parked on an incline, nose down, car would not run, sputter and stall.

Replaced the filter and fuel pressure regulator, better but not running well enough to drive.

The old fuel filter had some debris, I would like to check the fuel pressure.

My FP gauge is 1/4 inch pipe thread, the fuel pressure regulator is not.

Has anyone made an adapter or know a source for the fitting, preferably with a hose barb on the end.

Also thought about blowing some air back into the tank? practical? Any info appreciated.

Thanks, CK

Have you checked the throttle butterfly? They get gunged up and cause similar problems.

Default Improvised fuel pressure gauge

So replaced the fuel filter and FP Regulator.

Rigged a fuel pressure gauge on the exit port of the FPR, no pressure. Fuel did come out the fuel rail connection which was disconnected, not sure why and not much?

Any thoughts from anyone?

You should be able to hear the fuel pump for a few seconds when you turn the ignition on. If you can't hear it, then check the fuel pump relay and put a DVM meter on the pump's electrical terminals to ensure it is getting power.

If it is getting power then pump could be bad or line blockage. Start with filter and then progress downstream. See if you can move the gauge to the inlet side of FPR.

Gotta luv jags, park nose down and the puppy won't start

Sounds to be running, blew back thru the lines into the tank, may pull new fuel filter off and look again.
Is the Relay in the trunk, hidden near the filler tube or under the hood thanks,
Cal

Changing the relay or the pump? Does the pump have 12v?

Update no fuel pressure, pumps but I can stop it with my thumb.

Rigged a FP gauge and tried it both ends of the fuel rail and in plae of the fuel filter. Not enough pressure to read, tested gauge works fine. Can blow back lines to tank.

Next step, pull fuel pump, any related posts that anyone can recommend?
