Default What is the purpose of Part NBC3221AB?

I'm trying to plan out the installation of a catch can to my AJ16 engine. In order to do that, I need to understand the purpose of NBC3221AB, "Breather Adapter".

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Never mind. I spent a few hours reading and found that it's a "Part Load Breather". It creates a vacuum when the throttle is closed.

This will have to be addressed from my catch can, so it seems that I'll need the fancier, three port type to keep the oil from the air separated and keep the intake manifold and throttle body clean of oil.

Thanks

This is a interesting pursuit you have going. I am looking at rerouting crankcase ventilation on a 94 6.0 I took out of a XJ12. I am installing a 3.3L whipple supercharger at the rear of the V in order to gain hood clearance, but there are "vacuum? tees?" that are part of a odd looking box that is mounted to the valley cover and fits down into the engine.
