Hi all I am having some trouble with my 2000 plate S-type 3.0 auto initially the passenger rear door would remain locked and all other doors would open and lock normally so would the drive away locking system when the speed was reached, now the rear passenger is unlocked and remains stuck in the unlocked position and as result of this none of the doors will remain locked either via the central locking or manual key operation the central locking is working as I can hear the motor going when used but all the doors unlock again the same thing happens with the drive away locking system the doors lock then unlock again any help or advice you have to offer is greatly appreciated many thanks Roy Prior.

 

Take off the door card and lubricate the mechanism, while you are in there, check that the linkages are all ok.
