Default Change of Jaguars

Hi All,

Just to let you know that I am no longer a 'Two Jag Man'

The X-Type was due it's MOT this month, and on my last foray underneath her I found quite a bit of rust on the driver side sill, front wing and even the bonnet starting to bubble underneath the paintwork on one edge. Adding to this the engine management light constantly lit, and an ABS sensor issue with the sensors corroded in solidly.

None of it unsurprising to be honest as the X-Type was on the school run daily.. so, after quite some debate at home it was put in for part exchange..

I must stress, before I tell you what the X-Type was part exchanged for, that the XJ is still very much with me and will hopefully have some necessary bits and pieces sorted over the months to come and is still very much with me long term!

I am currently adjusting to running a C1 for the school run :-) It is quite an experience I have to admit, and as much so for the kids as well - *but* it does make me appreciate the XJ's opulance so much more.. The XJ is reserved for the longer journeys and weekends, with the C1 doing the town journeys.

So there you go - I managed to run 2 Jaguars for 18 months, but now have to relinquish the title of Two Jag Man and settle for Jag Man :-)

LOL..completely agree with you.. One huge plus is I now really really appreciate the XJ :-),

And I still have a one day test drive of an 5.0 F-Type to come this Saturday courtesy of Harwoods Jaguar.. Really looking forward to that.

I have been lucky to be able to run two Jags if honest, and if I had had to make a choice between my X-Type and XJ8, for me, the XJ would have always won :-)
