Looking for a good independent specialist within striking distance of the Channel Tunnel, as I'd like them to give my car the once-over. Any advice?

 

Just had a look on the JEC website and there is non in that area that are recommended. Doesn't mean there isn't any of course.

There are some on google for the Ashford area but you would have to take a chance without a recommendation.

Possibly worth a call to sound them out.

Don't know if this is too late for you but there's a independent Jaguar service Centre just off the Purley Way, Croydon they look like a good outfit but I've not used them myself

Good guys, love Jags and know their stuff - and they understand that not all Jag owners are made of money. I've been getting them to service my Jags for the last 10 years, including a complete engine change on my XJS.

 

I've used a few I can recommend the Collier Street link above , Home Page Jaguar Spares Penge (S type booked in next Wednesday) and http://www.jaguarspares.net/contact.htm Sittingbourne. There are a number of others, one that disappointed me on a service (Kent Jaguar at Sevenoaks) and the Croydon one which I haven't used but have heard of two customers who were not happy. There is a very local guy to me in Charing but even after a visit to discuss my XK he failed miserably to book it in for a service in four months !
