jeers jim you have been a very busy guy and I think I can speak for all off us that are attending, by thanking you . for what looks like a superb day out, I picked my car up yesterday from mackies transmissions and drove it home. had the chance today to take the jag out for a test drive bearing in mind it just had new back tyres put on as well as new rear brake pads the day before. the transmission service from mackies. had spoke to john Mackie while there as well as john connachan service manager. nice guy. they had only kind words to say about the forum and the members and the jaguar brand ect. todays test drive was fantastic the car was smooth before the gearbox service but boy it was like driving a new car smooth as silk in love all over again lol charlie

Nice one Charlie, really pleased for you.

John Mackie and his team are a really great bunch of guys, more importantly do a great job at a good price, I've been very pleased with mine as I know others have too.

Car sounds like she's now in tip top shape and ready for your travel plans and the meet in June.

Charlie,

Good to hear you're pleased with Mackie Transmissions work. I was certainly impressed with their facilities and knowledge during the forum visit last year.

thanks graham, yes very happy with the service from mackies. I had no problems with the gearbox before but at 55,000 on the clock and having decided to keep the xk for a few years yet, decided to treat the cat to some tlc &new rear brake pads and tyres as well as her yearly service sailed thro the mot. guys at mackies commented on a good car in top condition. so very happy. charlie
