Default Satnav

Is it possible to fit the satnav from a donor car into a base model x type or is it not worth the hassle ?

I know on some vehicles the wiring looms are configured for most factory fitments whether they're fitted or not, just wondering if the x type loom was a one size fits all so to speak.

The place for tech questions is the model tech forums.

However, I wouldn't consider retro fitting a Jaguar SatNav system. They aren't very good.

I've got the sat nav in my x-type (2005 car but I've got the 2012 disc in) and I like it. It works better than my tom tom and the directions are clearer. Daz
