Smelly on start up
Hi,
I am after some help/advise I have a 2017 Jaguar XF 2 litre diesel, when I start the car up there is a stagnant eggy water smell coming through the vents, I have recently had the pollen filter changed to see if that’s resolved the issue but it hadn’t, the old filter was black and all leaf’s removed but the smell has now come back any advice of help would be appreciated

Welcome to the forums Rih160,
The best place for TECHNICAL questions is the relevant MODEL forum - X260 for your 2017 XF 2.0D.
You have already removed one probable cause of the smell and the next action should be to use an AirCon purifier to kill the bacteria. These come either as aerosols to spray into the vents or as an aerosol 'bomb' to set off inside the vehicle with the heater running.
Another frequent cause of the unpleasant smell is blocked AC drain tubes. These generally need to be accessed from under the vehicle.
