One of our attendees raised a potential issue with the catering facilities at Denbies, and as a result I have been in contact with Denbies to clarify things.

Denbies have said that we cannot picnic on the day, however they do still have bookings available in the restaurants and the carvery (in the conservatory area) works on a turn up and eat basis, no need to book :-)

Both the restaurants and the carvery have been notified of our numbers and will be catering appropriately and are positive they can feed our numbers without an issue.

Don't forget to state that you are with the JaguarForums event to get 10% discount on the day!

The news updates keep coming today :-)

I have just heard from Pease Pottage Services and they will close off the Conservatory area for us for the morning, and offer us a 20% discount on all products from the Costa counter :-) Just state you are with the JaguarForums event and if the staff still refuse to supply the 20% discount say that they are to use the 20% Moto App discount.

We should be OK with the Costa discount as I pointed out that we had huge problems last year with this, and they have said that they will make sure the Costa staff are aware.

OK guys we have made it as far as the Thursday evening before our event :-)

Pretty much everything is in place, and most if not all the last minute questions, issues and wrinkles have been answered/solved/reworked.

The Goodie Bags are bigger than ever this year but have all been packed, prizes have been checked and collated into groups, and I now know who is presenting what on the day.

It is now just a gentle push for any last minute signups/cancellations with a little more advertising through Friday.

My S-Type has had a partial oil change, the fuel filler replaced, the navigation system updated to 2012 so now just needs a good clean before the day - why is rain and dew so dirty? sigh

So on the day, we start at Pease Pottage Services with a Welcome Speech in the conservatory area with event registration and free Welcome packs handed out, then heading out by either of two routes to Denbies. Please note we get a 20% discount on products from Costa - just state you are with the JaguarForums event.

Note prize draw tickets will be available at £1 per ticket (you are welcome to buy more than one ticket to gain more than one chance at our huge selection of prizes if you wish :-) ) all proceeds will go towards our event costs which seem to grow with every event. They will be available to buy through the day until 3pm.

At Denbies the DesignXKR team will be marshalling to help everyone get where they need to be for the day. Please follow any guidance you are given :-) The trade stands will be across the back of the Bacchus field with attendees parking up in rows in front of them ensuring space for anyone to be able to exit if need be later in the day.

Denbies will be laying on a breakfast fare as advertised in the threads along with the opportunity to go on wine estate tours, and tasting sessions.

During the day please take a look at everyone else's car and vote for your favourite for the 'Peoples Choice' award. To do so just make a note of the attendee number on the dashboard and you can log your vote with me at the back of all the cars.. I will be parked side on to everyone and will have the event banner, etc and should be easy to find :-)

During the day Tony from Harwoods, and Michael on behalf of Leatherguard ill be checking out all your cars for the remaining awards of the day.

We are not allowed to take our own food onsite but Denbies does offer us a 10% discount for food/drink etc - just state you are with the JaguarForums Event.

If you have subscribed to the 'Don't Miss a Thing' service you should get a text a few minutes before any event features plus useful reminders as we go, so make sure your mobile is turned on :-)

Mid afternoon we will be drawing for the main prize draw - 47 prizes at the last count!! Followed by the free Dinitrol Draw for a corrosion protection kit. Please note you need to complete and submit an entry form in your Welcome Pack to enter this one - please make sure you do as this is a great prize for any of us :-)

After the prize draws we will be announcing the award winners, presenting some incredible prizes for these too!

Then finally we have the group shots with the event banner etc. and the end of our day until this time next year.

Pleae note as usual there will be photos taken throughout the day, and as you know from experience if you have visited us before, some will be used to help promote our next event.. photos will also be put up on our forum threads, and we will have a new 2017 photo album on our Facebook page so you can look through all of them.

CarSnapped is a professional event photographer who will be busy through the day - please approach him if you would like some incredible photos of your Jag for desktop backdrops, framed pictures etc - he comes highly recommended and his rates are very, very reasonable.

That's it.. that is our Jaguar day.. I look forward to seeing everyone on the day and really hope you enjoy our bigger, better and even more Jaguar day tha ever before.

Welcome to the 2017 Annual Convoy & Meet Event

This FREE event will be taking place on Sunday 28th May 2017 - with the main venue being Denbies Wine Estate, near Dorking.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year things are set to be even bigger and better than ever before with more cars (we now have a ceiling of 300 vehicles), more sponsors (with some able to perform work on site for you!), more prizes to be won on the day, and our annual award of the prestigeous 'JaguarForums.com Best Turned Out Jaguar' award up for grabs again PLUS the new awards of 'Peoples Choice' and 'Best Interior'!

The initial meeting point will be in the Conservatory area at Pease Pottage Services (9:30am start on the day) with a quick Welcome speech, event registration, and your free Welcome Packs handed out.

There will then be a convoy through winding country roads, with gorgeous scenery, from Pease Pottage to our new venue at Denbies Wine Estate. It will be the first time these roads will have ever seen this number of Jaguars passing through, and will set the tone for our arrival at Denbies, where we will have a grassed, enclosed area set aside exclusively for us for the day.

Denbies will be laying on a breakfast for us upon arrival. The options being: Full English breakfast with Tea or Coffee & Orange juice £8.25, a Bacon or Sausage Buttie £3.50, and a Bacon or Sausage Buttie with Egg £4.75. Please note that there will also be 10% discount vouchers available to attendees to reduce these prices

As you know we like to try to work with our sponsors to keep your Jaguar costs low... and we are pleased to say we have arranged the following discount codes (so far) for event attendees, which will be active from now until our event:

Prestige Car Care is offering all attendees a 10% discount on their entire product range which includes some superb car cleaning products - to take advantage of this great offer go to Featured Products - Prestige Car Care Shop and use the checkout code 'jags' to get your event attendee discount!

Anglian Remaps offer engine retuning and decarbonisation for your Jaguar, and are offering you an event exclusive 10% discount when booking via their website Car Remaps by Anglian Remaps | ECU Tuning | Felixstowe, Ipswich. using the checkout code 'JagForum'.

Additionally, following on from last year, we have the FREE service for attendees - the 'Don't Miss a Thing' texting service If you drop me a line with your name & mobile number before the day we will ensure that you get a text just before any event on the day, such as banner signing, prize draws, winners of judged contests etc.. just drop a line to JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk if you would like to guarantee you miss nothing on the day..

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £65 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley. Just remember to quote that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com' event to get guaranteed availability and the fixed discounted rate of £65 a night.

If you decide to sign up this Friday night or during the course of Saturday your best bet will be to contact us via Facebook, Twitter or email with your Jaguar model, year and how many travelling - to ensure that you are added in, as it is unlikely I will get a chance to get onto the forum threads I am afraid.

The email is JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk , the Twitter feed @JFBrightonMeets, and the facebook page is www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK

Just a reminder of our itinerary for the day :-)

Itinerary for our Annual Jaguar Convoy & Meet (2017)

9:30am Starting point of event at Pease Pottage Services for event registration, with Welcome Packs handed out, and Welcome speech.

10:15am Depart for our main venue, Denbies Wine Estate.

11:00am Our Jaguars should be parking up, and everyone heading off for breakfast, noting the costs are listed in the main forum thread.

2:30pm Main Prize draw for a number of great Jaguar orientated prizes, noting there will be a small charge for tickets for this.

3:00pm A second free Prize Draw for a Dinitrol Corrosion Treatment and Protection Pack for your Jaguar.

3:15pm Presentation of:
The Scratchshield 'Best Turned Out Jag - 2017' award (judged)
The Nextbase 'Peoples Choice' award (as voted by you)
The LeatherGuard 'Best Interior' award (judged)

3:30pm Group photo shoots and final summary speech prior to the end of our day.

Please note that in addition to socialising, checking over our Jaguars and meeting the companies joining us on the day, Denbies are also laying on tours of the wine estate, and wine tasting experiences for us. These additional features will be charged for by Denbies, but do represent a great chance to learn about this, the largest wine estate in England, and their award winning wines.

OK guys, The event is TODAY :-)

If you have not signed up yet, just come along to Pease Pottage Services at 9:30am or to Denbies Wine Estate at 11am and join in the day and subject to availability of Welcome Packs etc you will be made very welcome.

The weather is currently misty with low cloud, which I am hoping will burn off later this morning and we should have warm temperatures with just the small chance of a shower..

If you are meeting us at Pease Pottage Services don't forget we are meeting in the Conservatory area there for event registration at 9:30 and to ask Costa for your 20% discount to help you surface :-)

If you are just coming to visit us then you need to park in the Visitors car park at Denbies and walk across to the Bacchus field or if you are attending with a Jaguar the DesignXKR team will guide you into place.

I hope everyone has a great day and see you later :-)

Please bear with me for a day or so and I will get all the photos organised, and available, signed off with all our sponsors, and a synopsis of our event all up online for everyone - it's taking a little longer this year due to the increased number of sponsors and many more photos of this years event :-)

The past few days I have been dead to the world - but am starting to get my drive back now.. so apologies for the silence last few days but I am already working on the event synopsis prior to signing the event off with our 20 sponsors.. keep an eye on this space - as sonn as I have this event signed off I will be kicking off our 2018 event with some timing adjustments, more sponsors, more industry attendees, and as complete an experience as I can get for you guys - which will be our SEVENTH event.
