High Plains Raceway 2021
I did a search and any mention of HPR was 2013-2015. Is there anyone in the Colorado area who still does track days at HPR?
I live in Colorado Springs and have never run 4 wheels on a track. I've run motorcycles on tracks a lot in my younger days and have done a couple track days last year but never in a car. I'm really interested in giving it a try in my Jaguar but was wondering if there are any others still active here?
I'm really leery of the transition to a car. The track will seem so small/narrow with no visibility compared to being on a bike. Plus traffic concerns me. A couple bikes can stuff into a corner no sweat, but cars are a lot bigger.
If nothing else I'd like to watch a car session before I commit my baby to the track.

Well I pretty much decided I’m going racing. My F just isn’t happy having to be subdued on public roads. I’m no longer the fastest guy out there (I won’t admit I never was.) but I need to let the kitty roar a little.
I’ve never had a car on a track before and I have no delusions of being good at it, but from years of motorcycle racing I understand the line, brake points, and all the other details of safely being on a track.
You are never fast instantly but you work at being smooth and trying to be consistent and you get faster. I don’t plan to push my limits but to just have fun and not hurt the car. As long as I’m not to much of a rolling road block I’ll be happy.
