Need recommendations for a headliner repair shop in Atlanta
My XJ8 has a sagging headliner and I'm torn (not the headliner) on repairing it myself or finding a trim shop to do it for me. Does anyone have experience with a good auto trim shop in the Kennesaw or Atlanta area?
I don't have any recommendations, but there are quite a few that are mobile and will come to you. The dealers will use these mobile services if you take it to a dealership to have it done. Now, if only you could find out who the dealership uses............
Thanks Lance, I'll give them a call and find out if they are reasonable. I also found a company in Cartersville that performs headliner replacement and they are mobile. The option of having them come to my driveway is much more attractive than driving over to Alpharetta.
I replaced mine today, I took my time and it was a bear , like where the handles are sunk in to the headliner was the biggest pain.I spent about $125.00 on the materials and adhesive.Ive heard prices anywhere from $200.00, which I find very hard to believe, to 650.00.
If you still are searching for a good Upholstery shop I highly recommend Tim's Auto Upholstery shop. they have done the headliner on my 2001 XJR perfectly and in the past I have used them for all my needs as they match the factory materials.

Just thought about Corzavs, in Lithonia, right off I-20. They did my wife's, which I now own. They had to repair the sunroof that was damaged in an accident, and the headliner was already sagging in the rear. Don't know if you want to venture east, but they're quite reasonable and I have brought them both Jaguars and Cadillacs.
To update everyone, I used North Point Upholstery in Roswell for my 2004 XJ8. Their price was good at $375, but there were some issues.
They were able to do it in a day, but when I picked up the car the airbag light was flashing. Turns out the occupancy sensor on the passenger side in the headliner got damaged. So it took them a few days to figure this out and get the car back to me.
The overall quality is fair - their job definitely isn't perfect and I can see some lines and finger prints in certain areas.
