Good morning everyone. I pray all is well with you. Okay I'm a newcomer to the Jaguar Forums and I'm a new owner of a 07 XJR V8 4.2 Super Charger that was given to me by my uncle. The car has 81,679 miles on it and it has a few issues. I sure hope that some of you can assist me in getting the cat back on track. The following are things that my uncle told me that have been going on with the car before he parked it. It has been sitting for a while prior to me receiving the gift.

It had water leaks, that required the headliner to be replaced. The water leaks have now been fixed but water was coming in the back and soaking the foot wells on both sides. That is not a issue anymore. He told me that the windows will not work but the sunroof does.
He has replaced the main window selector switch and driver door module.

Due to the car sitting up for a while, the battery was drained. So I inspected the battery and I saw that it was fairly new, it was purchased in 2022. So I fully charged the battery but the car still would not start. So I let it charge some more but this time I put it on trickle charge/repair. After about 20 minutes of this, I put my battery charger on jump start and the car crank. I drove it from Abbeville SC to my home in McBee SC which is a three hour drive. The car had a few rough patches as to how it ran but he more I drove it, the better it ran.

The second thing I noticed is that the halogen HID lights for the dim side, they were extremely dim. I could barely even see. I also noticed that the automatic light leveling system was not functioning.

Once I got it home, I turned the car off and thinking that after driving three hours it would crank back up. So when I switched it off, I tried to crank it back up. I turned the key but nothing happen. The car did not crank, no engine turn over whatsoever. However, I noticed that I heard a sound that sounded as if the climate control servo was still running and or making some type of adjustments. So I thought this might be draining the battery. So I googled the location of the climate control fuses and I pulled the top one, and the noise stopped. At this point I thought I might as well turn the key to see if I still have a/c or heat. The climate control system came on and the a/c was blowing. So I decided to try and crank the car. Low and behold, the car crank. I switched it off and then tried to crank it again, it cranked right back up. Then I put the fuse back in and tried to crank it, the car would not do anything, the engine would not turn over. Needless to say, the fuse remains out until I can figure out what is going on with that.

So here I am everyone, I've been blessed with the 07 XJR but I need some assistance with the windows not working at all. Oh let me mention this, I checked all the fuses and there are not any blown fuses under the hood, in the passenger front floor board, nor in the trunk. All fuses are good. My uncle said that he put a new driver door module and main window switch in also. (still no windows will work) The other issues are the low beam halogen HID lights are very dim and this whole issue of the climate control fuse when in, the vehicle will not crank. Okay, that's all I have for now. Sorry for the long post but any help that I can receive on any of the issues would be awesome. Thank you so much in advance.
