Eric Zausner, a Katie's regular, founded a Sunday Cars & Coffee to help replace the defunct Fair Lakes event. It's been going for several weeks, and I went out for the first time today. Looks like the numbers are already there - there were well over 200 cars in attendance today. Dulles Landing is less than a mile from the intersection of 50 & 606 in Loudoun County. The management has wisely contracted with local police to be on-site, to prevent the kind of problems that killed Fair Lakes. I got there shortly after 7:30AM, and there was already a crowd there. Looks like it is drawing a mix of classics, modern muscle, and exotics. There was even a small Jaguar presence - Bobert's XKR convertible, and Bob W's Lister-Jag replica.

The police were asked to chaperone because last week a Maserati and a Camaro made fools of themselves. Everyone is aware of Kohls and doesn't want to see this get ruined.
A beautiful Sunday drive out 50, for a cool, overcast morning at Dulles Landing. This event has grown phenomenally in the several weeks of its existence.
Organizer Eric Zausner anchors it around his custom hot rods, and his friends' hot rods and classics, but the modern muscle cars, trucks and jeeps, as well as a good amount of semi- and full exotics also come out in numbers.
A few jaguars in attendance...
Shameless plug - be sure to RSVP for the Jaguar event in Great Falls, VA on Sunday, September 27th. Click the link below for details -

I had my new Seven there, and met the owner of an S4 Elan FHC, which I had never seen before! I was only there about two hours, and spent a lot of time talking to people about the Caterham, which just arrived on Tuesday.

.....This event is very big for groups of cars - Jeeps, Focuses, etc... Two dads brought their young boys, and trailered their karts. I saw one Jaguar there today - an XJ with a V8 conversion.

A pretty good turnout on an overcast Sunday morning... No Jaguars today, though - make sure you RSVP for the Jaguar event to be held at Katie's on 09/27/15:
