The Countdown To APOJ!
OK, folks - we're coming up on our Jaguar event, A Pride of Jaguars. Not only will we have a good selection of Jaguars (13 confirmed Jaguars in attendance, as of right now), but the weekly Cars & Coffee at this location regularly has over 100 cars of all types - imports, exotics, muscle cars, and hot rods. If you like cars, you should be there. If you like Jaguars, this is the place to be.
Sunday, May 19th, 8:00AM - 10:00AM. East Market Shopping Center at Fair Lakes (Kohl's & Dick's Sporting Goods).
Please respond if you will be there, or you hope to be there. I will use these responses in estimating reserved parking spaces for Jaguars.

A Pride of Jaguars - Jaguar Pride
As of 7:20AM today, we have 1444 views of this thread. I know you're reading this, so let's get our confirmed numbers up! I want to cordon off the correct amount of parking for the Jaguars. I'll be there plenty early, so when folks start showing up around 8AM, we'll be set to go.
Any questions, contact me:

Below are some pictures I have taken over the past year at Fair Lakes. This should give you some idea of the quality and variety of cars at the weekly Cars & Coffee events: (click on thumbnails to see a larger picture)

No - some of those go back to May of '12, some are more recent. We haven't had many Jaguars in recent weeks. I'm hoping to rectify that this Sunday.
I went over and talked to Paul, the manager at Rosenthal Jaguar. He will be sending a rep over with a car from the dealership.

Bring Out Your Jaguar!
I expect Sunday to be cloudy, but hope that the rain will be holding off until the afternoon. I will be at the East Market at Fair Lakes parking lot, rain or shine. (They are English cars, after all...)

Just a word of advice.
In the Regional sections, the first word of any new thread should be 'the Region', e.g. Mid Atlantic, .... then followed by the event or other title.
Otherwise it all becomes a little vague.
"A Pride of Jaguars", could be anywhere! From how things are displayed on the forum.

A (Decent-Sized) Pride of Jaguars!
We had our first scheduled Pride of Jaguars this morning, at the East Market at Fair Lakes Shopping Center in Fairfax, VA. Despite the iffy weather - it was foggy early, though it never really rained - we had 14 Jaguars show up.
The event was helped greatly by the generosity of Rosenthal Jaguar of Tysons Corner. When I asked manager Paul Bavely of Rosenthal, he agreed to send over a car for the event. As it turned out, timing worked out for us, as the new F-Types arrived this Friday, and Craig Faunce of Rosenthal brought over a navy blue V6 F-type, for display... and drives!
Thanks, guys!
We had a very good mix of models - my XK Coupe, plus XKR Coupes and convertibles, X- and S-Types, an XF and even an XF-R!
An added attraction today was our own 'Jag Wrangler', WhiteXKR, who demonstrated his remote top retraction mod on his XKR convertible.
I'll leave it to the other attendees to tell you if they enjoyed themselves; I know I did. Several of us went over to The Blue Iguana afterwards for brunch.
If people enjoyed this event, we can certainly being long-range planning for another - probably in the fall. I'd rather not do a big outing like this too often, but everyone is more than welcome to bring their Jags and other cars to the 'normal' Cars & Coffee event at Fair Lakes, which happens every Sunday, year-round.
Thanks to all who participated!
