Yes, had an engine swapped here: Luxury Auto Repair Odenton MD | German British Repairs | English Auto - English Auto

The owners are excellent former Jag dealer techs.

Prestige Auto Performance in Kensington, MD.
Prestige Auto Performance - Home
Hasi is the owner and one of the mechanics, trained at Manhattan Auto: now Bethesda Jaguar.
He's very honest and provides good recommendations. I often bought my own parts and had them ship it directly to him to install. He works on many Jaguars and Land Rovers, plus some other European cars, like Porsche, as he has a friend who races them and often breaks them. If you go to him, let him know that Harry sent you.

Reviving this topic. I'm looking for an independent shop in Southern MD, preferably in the Brandywine/Waldorf area if possible.

Also, has anyone had any experience with Top Line Jag Repair in Springfield, VA?

lowscola, what you looking to have done? while I am not a professional shop, I have been working on cars longer than I care to admit to. I am down in California. I am doing a water pump and front brakes this weekend. Probably toss in an oil change too while I am under the hood.

Hello Thermo, thanks for replying. I just purchased the car 3 weeks ago and it started leaking coolant last Sunday. I wound up having it towed to Top Line Jag Repair in Springfield, VA. It turns out both the cross over pipe as well as the water pump are leaking. The water pump is supposed to be covered under the aftermarket warranty that came with the car, but they are really dragging their feet authorizing that part of the repair.

The car in a 2011 XF S. I'll definitely keep you in mind. Are there any preventative maintenance items that you recommend and could perform?

lowscola, I do a lot with cars. Oil, brakes, interior stuff, electrical, etc. I am willing to atleast look at about anything. I just did the water pump on my car this past weekend and this week is the front brakes. I have a lot of the tools that we would need. So, let me know what you have in mind and we can take things from there. The oil change is really easy on your car since you don't even have to go under the car. I have the special pump to suck the oil out of the motor.

As for what is recommended, do what is in the owners manual. All of that I can do. If you are not sure when it was last done, we can atleast look and get an idea of what should and should not be needed. I will even explain why I say what I say. It will give you a chance to learn a bit about your car too.

Thermo, thanks again for the info and invitation. Very much appreciated!

I actually just got my car back yesterday. The repair shop was courteous and appeared to have fixed my coolant leak as diagnosed. They had a hand full of very rare Jaguars. A couple E-types and an old S-type that they can't get any parts for. Cool shop.
