Car is running great but I sure would like to take it to a Jag mechanic for an SDD scan (note: non-dealer.) The shops I know for my BMW, etc. do not use SDD nor do they touch Jags. Bummer.
Thanks Speedmaster, I have to admit, I had always thought the XJS was attractive, but never gave it two thoughts due to it's reliability reputation. After I bought it (they can be really cheap), it instantly grew on me and now I love everything about it (except its speed, but that's part of its personality).
I just joined as well, I live in the NW Suburbs near Woodstock, one of my best friends just bought a '97 XK8, but I haven't told him about the forum.
Cheers! Mike

Welcome. We were in the town of Woodstock for a wedding this summer. We were sitting in the town square when my son looked up from his phone and said, "Dad, they filmed Groundhog Day here." Cool town.
Yeah the town square just had a car show the other day that went from 3pm to 10pm... It was very eclectic, I almost fell over when I saw a 1975 Lancia Stratos sitting next to a Camaro... Very Cool.
Clearly I'm a touch late to this, but I'll go ahead and throw up a flag.
New Member, I live in Crystal Lake...so another chicagoland suburbanite.
Welcome and congrats on the new F-Type. I've been going to the impromptu Cars and Coffee in Crystal Lake since it started in Sept. (lots of variety). You should def go, 99% of the time in front of World Market directly in front of Starbucks on 14... Its on hiatus until warm weather, but will start up again at the first glimpse of warmth... Sat from 8 to 10am. Hope to see you there. Mike
