Well, thread's getting a little too dead.

I know Riski and a couple others are down for a lil' meet up,

I saw jags cruising here and there around the burbs and north Chicago so there has to be some kind of interest and a nice meet we can put on for the site.

We mostly agreed on Sundays being the best, Weather is at is peak in Chicago (imo), We need at least 5 or more cars.

So a date, the 25th is the last Sunday of July, and August 1st is the first Sunday of the Month. Do any of ya want to meet up?

this thread is full of too much ****. We start a new thread, which outlines a specific meet, on a certain day, at a certain place...whoever can come will come. If you try to please everyone a meet will never happen.

 

Im new to Jaguar Forums and we should do this next year too..i would love to meet other people that are crazy about Jags..

 

and if we could have it in the streets of woodfeild that would be sweet, since im only like 30 min from there.

 

That would prob be the most central point to meet then a cruise down to the lake for some good pizza and dogs.....and head back home...some city and highway driving to strectch the cats legs a bit.....

 

I think if we get everyone together, that would be great! But i bet alot of people won't go all the way downtown but i think we would have a good chance if we got everyone togeather in one locaton...that would be the best bet.

 

I'm interested - just joined Jar-forum. Live in Shorewood (just west of Joliet). I have an XKR and an MG-TD

 

There's a forest preserve, Hammel Woods, in Shorewood at US52 & IL59, just off I-55 just before I-80. I can reserve (for a modest fee) one of two large areas with pavilions, etc. but no parking on the grass nor open alcohol (brown-bagged in the past, but who knws nowadays what cops might do?) - but lots of parking, grills, trails, the DuPage River, etc. Also plenty of bars with large parking lots nearby. Out by 8pm.

Lets set somting up for May or June 2011.

 

I live right next to Joliet and not far from Orland. I would like to attend both meets - just need to know the particulars.

There s a park area on US 6 between Minooka and Morris, where US 6 jumps over I-80, that hosts large custom shows in the summer - maybe a good site, near only industry, not terribly far from Morris. Joliet's city council and a$$hole mayor banned NASCAR activities in town (NASCAR fans do get rowdy so maybe it was a good idea) so I don't look for much support there, although Bill Jacobs Chev hosts a Corvette show on their lot. New Lenox has a nice park area that has summer concerts.

 

Anyone want to step up to the plate and get this official?

Im +1 for Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. There is a few highways to make access to further out members easily find it. Maybe Hooters, or the far out parking lots around the mall. Just an idea, The month of May sounds good too.

Like another member said if its 10+ cars, any Jaguar model, or just a Jaguar enthusiast, that would make a great impression.

 

I'm an ex Jaguar development Engineer (originally from the UK) moving from California to Chicago. I may be there by then.

 

Hooters is a gd idea. hehe. When is a good time you guys wanna set somting up. i can try to co-hostt this with som1. May or June?

Im interesting in seeing some nice jaguars!

Awesome, How Does May 15 sound. its a sunday so i assume alot of you have off work. ive hosted a BMW meet before several years ago. I found it was best to swap phone numbers via pM. purely optional (email works gd 2). The day of, or week of, i can get a quick roll call of who is coming for sure. I will post a OFFICIAL thread for this meet sometime next week.

Any1 that can help with co-hosting and ideas please let me know
