Some of the members have been asking about Jag Techs and their locations by region.
If you are a Jag Tech please feel free to post your approx location details here for all to see. Obviously to protect your privacy and annonymity, basic info only.
That way members can see at a glance what Techs if any are in their area that may be able to assist them.
Further - If anyone has any dealership reccommendations / Independant Jaguar specialists in their area that they would like to put forward, please post up with the Details, location and contact details for other members to see.
The Idea is that this will benefit all members within that locale and help to identify the dealerships that offer the best service and value for money.

Thank you

Jim

haven't seen anyone in Michigan here so far. I am from Muskegon area and the dealership closest is in Grand Rapids. I personally wouldn't go there because of bad experiences. So if you know other techs, mechanics, shops let us Michlanders know.

Greetings,

I'm in Powell, Ohio...a breezy 350 miles away, so you would be sure your repairs were performed correctly by the time you got home!

I called my supplier, and they mentioned Kent at Automotive Emporium in Grand Rapids. NO other info about this operation provided, just a resource to investigate. You may also want to speak with Denooyer Jaguar in Kalamazoo for factory authorized/ warranty work. I had a gal there once....Good hunting!

I have had very good treatment from Jaguar of Cleveland, in Solon, Ohio. I did buy my Select Edition from them so that may influence their treatment, but don't think so. Mike Shoda is the Service Manager and has been very responsive to my needs.

Sorry but I don't know of any classic shops. My parts and service are done through the selling dealer. Other than the occasional XJ6, I haven't seen them work on classics, but it wouldn't hurt to contact them. That said, let us know when your buddy gets the E. Sounds nice...

If you are anywhere near northern OH the place to go is North Coast Exotics in Cleveland. Earl Gibbs is the most knowledgeable Jag man around. He is very skilled at diagnostics and repair. He knows Jags. I've been going to him for 20 years. He has always treated me very fairly. The cost of a visit to Earl is always lower than going to a dealer. He is simply the best. His number is (216) 651-5512. Give him a call and tell him Gary sent you.

I am also looking for a reputable mechanic in Michigan. I will not have ANY of me vehicles serviced in either Jag dealers in Novi , Mi and or Troy Mi.

Numerous bad experiences at both Michigan locations
I will be posting my experiences for others to be aware

Default Import Mechanic in Iowa

Hey,

I live in Iowa, Not easy to find mechanics that are willing to work on a Jag, I take my car to European Motors http://www.euroltd.com/ they are honest and do great work. If you are in the Quad City area check out Jag Alley http://www.jagalley.com/, I have not gotten anything done there because it is a bit far, but I hear they are legit.

Anyone know of anybody else that fixes Jags in the region?

Default Minnesota Jaguar Tech?

Hello, can anyone advise a shop in the Minnesota area? I am located in the northern part of the state, but the Twin Cities is ok as well. I'm used to having to bring cars there.

I'm in the Quad Cities, Jag Alley does excellent restoration work, but I don't think they have the newer diagnostic equipment for the newer cars. The painter over there is a friend of mine and does beautiful paint work.

Skidz, Did you ever get a recommendation, or can you now make one yourself for central Illinois Jag owners. You and I both have 05 S-type. Peoria is the closest, but I'm leaning towards Indy because I think they are higher volume and thus more experiences. Let me know, thanks, Joe
