Greetings from the mild midwest. Hope everybody is enjoing their summer as much as us. My x-type has coolant in the oil. The reverse is out in the tranny as well. I am looking to have the both rebuilt.

Is there an import auto repair shop in the southern Ohio, northern Kentucky, southeast Indiana area that deserves a reference?

I allready tried European Auto Specialists and they're not "interested" in doing the work.

I know this is an expensive repair, more than the car is worth, and all the million reasons not to fix it. But I love the damned thing, and fixing it will stop me from going and buying another one.

Sorry you didn't get a response on this from anybody in your area, and I'm wondering if you were able to find somebody do to the work or if you are still looking.

MidwestJag, thanks for asking, but no, I haven't found anyone to tackle these problems. Funny you should ask, today I got the second "gearbox fault" warning since losing reverse last December. Turned it off, started it up and runs fine, probably won't last the year though. If you have any info that might be helpful, please advise.
