New Hampshire checkin in
and I thought my 54 mile one way commute was long! lol
I've been using Precision Auto on Bartlett St. in Portsmouth and have been happy with them. I checked out Brit Bits in Rye, but as they work on older cars, (mine is only a '94) they recommended Precision, partly because Precision is familiar with the V-12's.
It kind of balances out. VA to NH (500 miles twice a month), other days (25 feet) to my home office.

yes I would say good things about Precision as well, and recently had my XJR there. Just haven't gone down the repair route or chosen a shop to do the repairs yet. Had my XJR almost a year now, so far so good.

Any chance you are ever "down South" that I could check out your car? I could also travel to you. I'd appreciate it very much.
You may have seen my posts....83 series III needs rust work only ..runs like a top Drivers seat ....not happy...lookin for a welder in the area and how to cover the driver seat and make it look presentable
JohnK, I run studded snows on my 98 XK8 in the winter and call it a snow cat. Until the snow is high enough for the under carriage to start plowing, I can keep up with the pesky AWD subarus, and look much better doing it. She has no problems dealing with NH winters at all with the new snow sneakers.

I am not sure if the S has DSC or not.
If it does, then all 4 wheels have to have the same tires, 4 snows or 4 regulars. The amount wear, size and brand should also be about the same on all four.
The concept is the computer reads how fast the wheels are turning and the steering angle. Going straight all 4 wheels should be rotating the same RPM's. If not then it assumes your are drifting or hydroplaning and compensates for it to keep the car stable. It gets weird if you are not drifting or hydroplaning.
