Default Reliable Jag Mechanic in Fairfield County CT

Just got a XJS and wanted a place I can trust to get some work done to make sure she is safe to drive. Any suggestions for places in fairfield county area? Close to Danbury or Ridgefield.

Thanks,

It's a little bit of a hike for you (but an easy drive in a Jag), but try Jeff Palmero of International Motor Car Repair in Hopewell Junction, NY.

My car was previously owned by someone in Danbury and that's who they used. I went up and met Jeff a couple weeks ago and he went over the car with me. Great guy, but very busy one man shop (and works probably 70 hours a week). Google him and give him a ring (I found evenings around 6 were best) and he might be able to help you out. He's got some other good reviews on this site.

On another thread where someone had a similar question, SNG Barrett's representative suggested giving them a call and they could tell by zip code who near you was ordering parts. That's another approach for you.

Lastly (or maybe firstly) go through this thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...-east-us-4481/

There's some intel in there (I didn't read it all) including some indy shops in Westport, Guilford, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I made a noob mistake and didn't search first. I actually went back and saw there was a thread for Jag Techs North East. Like you said I should have read that first. I ended up trying J and J of Westport. It's there now and we'll see what he finds. Thanks for not flaming me for not searching first!

Thanks again
