Just thought I'd share my little saga. I went to the Sounders game and parked at Century Link field last Friday (driving the SUV). The parking spots are pretty tight there. I have driven the Jag in the past, but I always parked it as far out as I could in the biggest corner spot I could find! But this time I had Chris with me. She always tells me I can park wherever I want, but then she looks at me disdainfully if there's a spot two spaces closer to the door, like I've somehow failed to provide for her. I don't know, maybe that's just me. So I found a nice, close, *tight* spot and backed into it.

When we got back to the car after the game someone bashed in the front fender so bad that I couldn't open the driver side door! Luckily some people who parked nearby actually saw the offending vehicle and took pictures! They waited around and gave us the pictures after the game.

The insurance company has been awesome. But the Seattle police? Let's just say I think they have other things that are distracting them at the moment.

Sorry to hear about it.

I get annoyed at a scratch or a ding so that kind of damage would have me looking for blood!

Yeah, the SUV is kind of made for getting beat up. I'd never have parked the Jag in that spot in the first place.

My wife asked stadium security if they were going to ban them from the parking lot. She's pretty steamed. My dad says "Towanda! Face it girls, I'm older and I have more insurance." (A quote from Fried Green Tomatoes.)

SUV should be back from the body shop tomorrow! Yeah! Now I don't have to share my cat with my wife for commuting anymore! Back to the old rules, starting with--no eating in the Jag!

Ha ha! Picked the SUV up today just as I flattened a tire on the Jag. It never ends!

Default Hit and Run

Actor/Director/Musician Jeff Daniels was on the Late Late Show on CBS last night. He told a story about driving a large motorhome one night after a gig, and hitting a jag parked on the corner. Since it was 2 am, he left the scene of the accident.
Not sure where or when this happened, but I know that Jeff lives in Michigan.
