Default shop in seattle

good morning from across the continent.

does anyone in the seattle area have experience with this shop?
British Automotive - Complete British Auto Repair - Seattle, WA 206-782-7950
any info would help.

or if anyone has any other suggestions of a shop within 10-15 miles of seattle that may be familiar with the 5.3L v12.

thanks!

I have only seen the internet ad, which looks promising, but I've never heard anything else about it. Outside of the dealer, the Jag specialist everyone seems to talk about around here is Park Place Ltd in Bellevue.

I went to Park Place in Bellevue (about 10 miles east of Seattle). "John" over there is a certified Jag Master Tech, and took care of my little things quickly and professionally. He also seemed very honest, e.g. I had an oil leak, we suspected a certain connection and ordered another part. After closer inspection it turned out it just wasn't fully shut. He didn't make me pay for the part, or for checking.

Here's a link with all the info: Park Place LTD Jaguar repair service Seattle Bellevue Washington

What are you getting inspected?

Complete car, or compression check/ general inspection of an engine?

There is a shop down here, in Portland, Oregon called Consolidated Jaguar, but I know nothing about Jag. Shops up in the Seattle area.

Best suggestion I have is to call them & have a discussion about the engine & see if you learn anything.

i needed to track down a fuel leak.

brought it to british automotive on holman. they ID'd the leak in the tank. now just waiting to see if they can repair the tank or if it needs a new one.

ray, on the phone, was friendly and knowledgeable. so i went with them, after calling a couple of others. they don't have the cheapest labor rates. and i did not call park place.

i'll post up an honest review when all is said and done, if its ok with mods. at least it'll be one data point on here for others looking for a shop.

I've bought both my Jaguars from Park Place, I've been very happy with their Service. I live too far away for service, so I go to European Motors in Lakewood. very knowable, the place is crawling with V12'd Jags as well as X300's even a couple XKe's.

These folks are easy to work with, knowledgeable especially the older cars like mine. '88 xjs, '86 xjs '94 xj12 and '02 xjr-100.

Labor rates in the seattle area are pretty brutal, frankly. Local Nissan shops are at about 110, Bellevue Dodge is 145, an RV repair shop in BFE nowhere is 116. The 135 I pay for Rolls service is by far the best value for miles. I'm inclined to ask them to start servicing my other cars... <cough>

I take both my Jags to Metropolitan Motors in North Seattle. They work on all cars and aren't Jag specialists. But they are HONEST and will do their best to help you. They are "car guys" and appreciate all cars. I bought my XJS from them. Now I take my XJR to them too.
Their prices are fair and they have rental cars. If they can't do a job, they will tell you and maybe even recommend someone. I can't recommend them enough!
