I've used Slavek at Henry's Foreign Automotive Service (Phoenix, OR) for light mechanical work (e.g. targeted repairs or routine service). A few months ago I asked him if he was interested in tackling some issues for the Delanair Mk II system in my 1986 XJ12, and while he didn't say no, he didn't seem all that enthused.

I had major work done by the Sports Car Shop in Eugene, headed by Bob Macherione (sounds like "macaroni"). Bob is a true Jaguar nut, and I use the term "nut" as a 100% compliment. He cut his teeth as a Jaguar mechanic before opening his own shop. During the winters, I'm thinking of sending my XJ12 up to Eugene for a few weeks or months, along with a list of things for Bob and his crew to tackle.

I've heard good things about Specialized Automotive Service and Dave's Import Service but I have not used either shop yet.

If you come across any good shops for older Jaguars, please let me know!

I live in Eugene and Bob and his shop have a very good reputation. I will take my F Type there for anything other than warranty work.

Thanks, magnum454, for the suggestion. For your vehicle(s), what has John's Auto Repair worked on?

Default Johns auto

Usually I do my own work but I thought I'd give Johns a try. I had them upgrade the secondary tensioners. An english dude that works there said he had done 100's of them. He gave me the old plastic ones and I have no leaks or any other problems. I trust them.
