I have always had good luck with Firestone. They have that lifetime alignment, so I get it done every 6 months

So, i finally talked myself into bringing the car in to the local jaguar dealership. they immediately told me that they were unable to perform the alignment because i didn't have the factory size tires on it. I have 245/45 instead of the factory 235/50.

Anyways, this is not the first time i've had someone tell me this. Could someone enlighten me? What does the diameter of the tire have to do with angles? if its 20" tall or 30" tall, what does it matter? The camber angle doesn't change, does it?

It doesn't seem practical that the alignment simply can't be done.. What if i wanted to upgrade to a set of 19" jag rims?
