Hello fellow Arkansans. I just the joined Forum today to try and find a good mechanic in Arkansas. I live in Hot Springs and have a 2001 XKR with just 37,000 miles. This week the top failed to go up and I'm leaking what appears to be power steering fluid. She doesn't seem to like the cold snap we just got. Can anyone suggest a good mechanic in the area? I'm short on time to do my own work lately and need to get my car fixed and the top fixed and back up soon. The top was fully service 2 years ago in Indianapolis to fix the know problems with a $2,700 bill but came with a one year warranty.
Thanks for any advice and I look forward to using this Forum frequently.

Paris, Arkansas 2007 S-Type R 63,400kmiles
Traded my '07 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic for '07 Jaguar S-Type R (Radiance red) over in Tulsa Oklahoma on August 17th.
Only issue thus far is rust on the rear rotor caps.
Paris, Arkansas is the gateway to Mt. Magazine (highest point in state)

Hello Arkansans
Im glad to see so many Jags in Arkansas. I have a 2001 XK8 convertible with 72000 miles. I love the car but it sure doesn't love me. Last year I replaced the top hydraulic lines. That was a chore. Cars in the shop right now for a new torque converter and maybe trans depending how much metal is in the pan. I hope I get to drive it some before the next disaster Sure is pretty to look at though.

New to the Arkansas list
I see there are several Jag owners here. I bought a 89 XJS after an engine fire and after realizing the cost to repair everything damage would be a stretch for someone that works for a living. I pulled a page from cousin Carroll's (as in "Shelby") Play Book. and I'm fixing to shove a 650+Hp/460 Cubic inch Ford down it's throat. Cheaper by far, and I won't have to put up with a Pissy Azzed Cat! Please don't get me wrong. I love the XJS, I was 18 the first time I drove one, and was blown away, I did a lot of reasearch on the v12 after I bought mine, it's quirks and extreme maintence /costs, and realized I like to drive my car to much for all that. And the cost of parts is staggering, so the Idea was hatched to build a "JACOBRA" So out with the crispy V12 and trans, and I've started fitting the 460 into place. Maybe one day soon I'll hear a real Roar!

Hey fellow Razorbacks and Red Wolves! This is Lance in Cabot. I have been a Jag owner for 2 years now and I am absolutely smitten with these automobiles! So much so that I own 2 now... From everything I have read, I must be "extremely" lucky because I have over 120,000 miles on both my XJ and XK, and they have given me very little trouble. I am a tinkerer and have torn down most of the interior parts to see how they work. I have upgraded the screen and A/C panel in my 2011 XJ (to get a faster touch response) and upgraded the steering wheel in my 2010 XK. When things get too hairy, my go to Indy guy here in central Arkansas is Ian Minennan at British Unlimited in North Little Rock. I highly recommend him and his crew for any Jag/Land Rover needs. Very reasonable and fair priced, plus, free diagnostics and code clearing! Would love to talk to anyone here locally that has any "newer" Jags (meaning, since they dumped Ford). So, WPS and Howl Yes!
