Default Best Dallas Fort Worth Jaguar Repair Service Place

Hey guys,

Just want to share with everyone what an awesome experience I had with British Auto Specialists in the Dallas / Fort Worth area for repairing and servicing my Jaguar XK8. Highly recommended:

http://www.britauto.com

Initially, I brought my Jaguar in for service at Autobahn. After repeated calls and voicemails to get status on the diagnosis, a week later and a couple trips to the service department, I finally got the bad news. They told me that 2 cylinders were bad and that I had only 20 lbs, out of 150 lbs, of compression. This type of service would require both sides of my engine to be opened and worked on. A big job. I decided to take my car to Jeff at British Auto Specialists, where they did a diagnosis in 1 day and told me that my engine was fine. They said that compression was at 2-3% with respect to spec. My car runs perfectly fine WITHOUT all the work that Autobahn's service tech said I needed. Thanks to Jeff, I saved thousands of dollars! I highly recommend British Auto Specialists. They work fast, they have extensive knowledge about british autos, they are very quick to call you about the status of your car, and they are very nice guys. I trust them and so should you.

They service, repair, and sell Jaguars in the Dallas, Fort Worth, DFW, Metroplex, Arlington, Haltom City, North Texas, Tarrant County, Dallas County area.

Call Jeff Sloan. He's in charge. 817-589-7974 www.britauto.com or www.britauto.net

The original problem that I had was that my tensioners went bad and the timing chain skipped a few links. It happened at a stop sign so I was able to get it towed to Autobahn (Jaguar dealer) without causing more damage. They took their sweet time to do a diagnosis. After a week of trying to track down an answer, I drive out there and seek an answer face-to-face, but of course they had not finished their compression testing. A couple days later, I start calling them again and finally they tell me the bad news that I have major compression leaks on both banks of my engine and I would need to get a whole new engine that would cost over $16,000. At that point I did not trust them. They had a nasty tone in their voices each time I talked to them. I paid them their $1200 for diagnosis and towed my car out to Jeff at British Auto Specialists http://www.britauto.com and he worked his magic to replace the tensioners, chain and associated parts for only a few thousand dollars. My car has been driving perfectly for the past year now. I'm grateful for his honesty and workmanship. I've made it a goal to get the word out about him (especially during this rough economy) so that his business will be around a long time. People like him allow us to enjoy being Jaguar owners. A few thousand dollars each time I have to send my baby to the shop is worth it, but when dishonest people with bad attitudes try to take me for tens of thousands of dollars I'll make it known.

Again (repeating info so the search engines will index his website and increase his ranking in search results), give Jeff a call at British Auto Specialists http://www.britauto.com in the Dallas Fort Worth DFW Metroplex Arlington Tarrant County areas and beyond for GREAT Jaguar service, Jaguar repair, and Jaguar sales.

They also work on Landrover and other British automobiles.

That's what I said... but I dished out the $1200 to try to get my cat back on the road. They said that they had to take both sides of the engine apart and remove a bunch of other parts in order to do the tests. After all the tests and all the waiting, they said I needed a new engine. That's when I towed it to Jeff at British Auto Specialists for a second opinion http://www.britauto.com ... boy am I glad I did that.

Default I recommend Hance's European in Dallas

I've had great luck with Jay and Kendall over at Hance's European. Very close to Mockingbird and I-35E.
