Count me in. I'm envious of going to car shows and seeing the large groupings of Corvette and Mustang owners having fun together. Let's try it at least once, and then we can decide if it's worth doing again. I know of two other Jags that I could encourage their owners to bring along. We could also post notices in the local Jag dealerships and ask for their support-maybe even a couple of Jag-related awards.

Count me in...hopefully not too far from Keller. Might be worthwhile to tag along with a more established car gathering and just gather the Jaguars into a group.

great stuff guys, keep it coming!

+1 on the local Jag dealership........I've seen this many times and it works well on my Audi forum.

One of the dealership guys, is interested and helps and basically thedealership may even be interested in hosting the meet if there's enough interest?

Imagine from their point of view.....a captive audience of perhaps a dozen or more Jaguar owners from with a 50 mile radius??

The possibilities as far asthey're concerned for parts, servicing, used cars, new cars etc are endless!
A good dealer who is switched on will recognise this and will be up for being involved I'm sure!

Just a thought.......

Count me in. I organized a meet a couple of years ago at Bone Daddy's in Grapevine but we had a low turn out. I believe meeting at one of those local once a month car show/get togethers would be best. As long as you guys are willing to be seen with the Jagrolet...

Al, are you the guy I met over at Bill's house?

Chris

Default Jag Meet Up

It would be great if the meet-up could be on any day other than a Saturday when they usually are. I'm down for it.

I like the sound of this! A nice brief drive just north of DFW into the country.

I'm too busy this summer to 'take the bull by the horns' but would love to participate. Most weekends, especially Sunday afternoons, are good for me. Also a good 4+ week heads up should make sure I can attend. There are definitely more than a few of us around Dallas, and it'd be nice to get to know one another. If we wanted to try out a Cars And Coffee in Frisco (maybe for August's?), that might be a good trial run. Meet early somewhere nearby, roll in together, schmooze.

The 40's car hop Kellers on NW Hwy always brings in a full spectrum of car types any Saturday night. There is ample parking but no seating.

I'm ripe for some jag stories. Short notice is OK.

Default Dallas Meet

Why not make a trial run .

I suggest the Applebys Rest. at I20 and 360 {Arlington}
say 9:00 am Sunday July 14th .
We can make plans for a more formal drive and get together at that time.

Any takers

I like the idea too of getting a group to park together at some local monthly show. That way its an established club that's organizing the show, we don't have to do anything other than just show up and there will be cars to see and people to meet regardless of how many Jaguar owners can make it as we know life is busy. I have other show cars (my xj8 is really a daily driver) and go to lots of shows, at least on the Fort Worth side of the metroplex. My favorite as I posted earlier is the Christian Classic Cruisers at the Birdville ISD stadium the 3rd Saturday of each month. The next one is July 20th and after that August 17th, both starting at 6pm. There are always clubs that park together at this show so it would be easy to accomplish. Despite the show's name, I've never seen any evangelizing going on short of a quick prayer to start the awards ceremony and the $15 entry goes toward gifts for poor kids at Christmas. I know lots of other monthly shows, but they are smaller and less diverse, i.e. more domestic oriented. I'm not familiar with what shows are on the Dallas side of the metroplex but I'm already committed to other cars/shows on August 10/11, and September 21st.

I have attended the monthly show at the Birdville school stadium. Good organization, big enough to get a good variety of cars, small enough to easily find one another. It starts at 6 p.m., so in the summer, it can still be pretty hot out on the parking lot. Agree with pdupler: it's a family affair and, other than the one prayer, people are there for the cars and not for a church service. It could be an easy way to get started.

This will be a diverse show. I am inviting several car clubs to join in. I would really like to have as many European cars as we can get as well as others. I am bringing a 2009 C63 AMG MB. I love the Jags and so many past & present are the best looking cars ever produced. Flyer is attached, please come out and join us in Carrollton next Saturday.

I'm in, schedule permitting, for whatever happens. I own a winery on the NW side of FW, and we do lunch service fri sat sun... I offer to host a gathering some Saturday or Sunday where we could gather, talk cars etc. and lunch is available if desired. My parking lot can hold 75 cars. We've had many other car clubs out but not Jags... It's time! What do y'all think?
