Does anyone know of a salvage yard here in okc metro that has some jags laying around?

 

Don't know whether they have Jags on the lot, but when I lived in the OKC area I used to do business with Oklahoma Foreign Parts between Moore and Norman off I-35. They helped me keep three Volvos and a Peugeot on the road. Call them at (405) 799-4444 and see if they might have what you need.

 

I know this is an old post. Ever find one? I'm looking.

 

I've seen some Jags on Craigslist recently with various maladies that were priced low enough to be considered 'for parts'. Haven't seen any Jags at the Foreign Parts on I-35. They seem to have been more into BMW and Porsche. Last time I went by (2 months ago?) they looked like they had folded.

 

I check Craigslist now and again. Usually the same old cars from over a year ago. Nothing good really.

I suppose it depends on what you are looking for. I found two 1998 XJ8s, one running for $1200 and one not for $800. Those are parts prices and both have parts that would work on my XK8. You are probably not going to find a three year old Jag in a salvage or "for parts" on Craigslist.

There used to be a big insurance pool (formerly Sapulpa Insurance Pool) off I-35 that had auctions (and on line listings) weekly. That could be a good source for recent models.
