Question TX - DFW: Best Tint shop?

Hi,
Just got a 2007 XJ8 and want to get the windows tinted - summers in TX can be brutal...

Anyone know of a good place to have my car windows tinted in the DFW area?

I had two cars tinted at Alta Mere Plano several years ago but are looking for other options - they did a good job but is always looking for alternatives to compare with..

/Mike

I have used Xtreme StreetWorks up here in Frisco land for a number of cars now (including my 08 XKR). I have been very happy with their work.

Thanks Gary.
What type of tint do you have on your car?

I can't remember the brand. I dug up my receipt, but it doesn't give any details either. I do remember the that I had them do as dark as legally possible on the side windows and then one shade darker on the back window.

The pic in the tag line is pre tint job.

no problems.
We here in North Texas sure need a good dark tint...

Your car looks good without the tint so it should look even better with it!

Just a follow up. Got my car tinted yesterday at Alta Mere Plano and chose the Madico Wincos tint. It is supposed to block more IR heat than other tints and it has gotten good reviews online. The only negative I could find was that some people thought it had a blue tint. I can't really tell and since my car is frost blue anyway I didn't make it a deal blocker..

I have had 2 cars tinted at Alta Mere next to Bob's on Lemmon Ave. with great results. The '04 Beetles has held up well - nearly 7 years.

The Beetle is my ex's hence not listed in the fleet. We're still on good terms.
