By the way, if anyone is driving down the 101 near the Airport in San Jose on the right hand side (Southbound) is a place called Showroom Sales and Leasing. They just sold my XK8 for me and I went by and they have an Austin Martin Lagonda with an LS1 conversion in it. Nice paint, wheels, tires and sound system, I don't want to think what it would cost to maintain it but it is one wild car. Oh and the same guy left off a 1970s Cadillac Fleetwood pickup truck. I have to stop driving by there.

really sorry we missed the Blackhawk! We will not be able to come to San Jose September 8 (we live in Grass Valley and won't drive the car into the city like that. We could make it to another Blackhawk sometime.

Missed most of you folks (Jeff showed up) at the Cars and Caffeine event. I didn't take pictures this time (plenty of photographers). I'll try to post links when they go live. There's the free 8th annual Orinda Classic Car Show this weekend, Saturday the 22nd from 10 AM to 2 PM at and around Orinda Motors in Orinda Village. Check it out at www.orindacarshow.com. There will surely be a few Jag's; E types, XK's and ? and especially a 2001 XJ8 VDP S/C (me!) This is a fun low key event of some 175+ cars. It's a 5 minute walk from Bart and right next to the weekly farmers market. A good way to get to know Orinda and the surrounding area.

Cars & Caffeine is October 13th this month and I'll be there. This will be the last one until spring and they will be collecting food for 2nd Harvest Food bank in anticipation of the holidays.
