Hi Gato,
I live in North Orange County. I use Haig Babayan at Britalia Import Auto Service. He has about 40 years of British Car experience and is very competent, as are his employees. The shop is in Fullerton, CA.
I read an on-line review of his establishment by a person with an MG. She said that they had offered her the option of new or used parts right up front and that she had been very happy with their work. Personally, I have been very impressed with them too although they have not done major work on my XJ8.
The labor rate is $100 per hour. The local Jaguar agency charges $150 per hour. I don't know if the words "reasonable" and "mechanic" can be used in the same sentence but at least he is cheaper than the agency.
