Default Napa in Spring

How about a nice spring run to Napa for the drop top Jags? This Winter is a real drag. Start thinking about it. Time to enjoy why we live in the bay area!

All is good. I just need to put the top down. A day in a Jaguar is a good day indeed. Sorry for the unintended slight.

Depending on the date, I would be interested in a get-together. Great idea!

I was thinking in the mid-April timeframe. It should be sunny and clear by then. I know some people at wineries in Napa and thought it would be a fun day. If I see some positive responses I can work on organizing a fun run.

A LITTLE WINE, A LOT OF JAGS!

I know I have to be in Kentucky 4/15 thru 4/19 for some work, also working on 4/25-26. Other than that I should be able to attend.
thank you, Vic

That's 4 of us so far. When we get to 10 it's time to plan.

Although us Southern Cal. guys get to drop our tops everyday, including all this week and last with 80 degree days in the San Fernando Valley, depending on the date, I'd take a ride up. Last year at an Audi Club track event at Infineon, we had a day at a winery in Napa that has a golf course running right through the middle, and a large group of us played a round. It was beautiful, and I'd love to do it again. I don't remember the name of the place but I'm sure I could look it up. I am in Washington D.C. the last weekend of April. Other than that, I think I could make it for a weekend run.

Keep us posted about the dates. I'll try to join (I visit Napa occasionally anyway).

@DaveC

Count me in! There was a group of us got together a few times last year and had fun. There is another thread running now where we are trying to work out when to meet again..... I'm going to try and introduce the threads to each other and hopefully we can kill 2 birds with one stone

All,

We will figure soemthing out. I think there is a massive case of spring fever coming. BTW, I took a run with the Nor-Cal Drivers last weekend up to Lake Berryessa and though Napa. It was a blast but man do some of those guys in M-Class BMWs and Porsches drive fast. There were 2 Jags (both Blue XK8s) and a little bit of everything else.

I'm okay with driving fast in fact I prefer it did they ever drive fast from a dead stop hahaha can show the Beemer and Porsce guys a thing or two if they are ready, which they won't be lol

I'll be checking for updates myself on this sounds like fun.

Ill be in Sonoma on the weekend of March 23rd for the 24 Hour of Lemons race I do, if u guys do something then ill show after race time is up

it is hard to beat a 911 with a tip off at the start. 6 speed yeah, pretty easy.

Been there done that the key is to make sure your car hooks, via tires that are sticky. I'm due for a new set but normally the XJR rolls on Drag Radials in the rear.

Most 911 Drivers have never seen or heard of drag racing lol so it's pretty easy to handle when you're experienced and the bulk of them are inexperienced. Works in your favor.
