Hello all! I am so glad that I found this website! Fyi, I am seriously considering of buying a used Jag within 2 weeks and I know nothing much about it. I looked at Craigslist and there are quite a few number of Jags selling under $6k. I really want to own one yet I hear many people saying that it's gonna be costly to maintain and they are very prone to leaks/problems. I would like to ask a piece of advice on buying a used one. My budget is under $6k and I found an XJR 99 with 115k miles on it that I want to buy. I live in Los Angeles.

I actually wanted to have someone who is expert to accompany me (I will pay for the time and expertise), just for me to make sure that I am not buying a "problematic" one. I think it is worth doing this way.

Btw, I actually found another XJR on Craigslist. Both are not original owners. Which one would you choose: 1999 XJR with 115k miles or 2001 XJR with 170k miles? Let's say both are under same maintenance care. Thank you.
