Default '02 Super V8 - Wheel options

Ok everyone, I'm looking for feedback on this.

My wife says the Super V8 is an "old man's car" - she doesn't car about the performance and doesn't really even want to ride in it. But I'm all about stealth and I kind of like the stock chrome Starburst wheels.

But I did pick up a set of XK8 Apollos with the P-Zeros and I'm not sure which way to go. I really like them on XK's but not sure about them on the VDP. I went legal on the tint because I didn't want an agressive overall look and the Apollos might just put it over that edge.

Sorry for the small pics - I haven't figured out how to resize yet - but let's see how this polls out.

I'm biased, so I shouldn't participate in your poll

All I know, is if you don't like your Apollos, there was a new member that joined up in the XK8/R forums a few weeks ago, looking to buy a full set of Apollos. Ebay was turning out to be of no use. You'd recoup your investment pretty easily.

But, after saying that, there aren't that many options I would like on the older XJs from the XK lineup. I really like the Gemini, though only available in the Canadian and Mexico market, and they're 17's. What size are your Starbursts? 18s?

I like those too. And the Montreals.

The Starburst are 16" and I wanted to go up to a 19" in anticipation of doing a Brembo conversion. Anybody know if there might be a conflict with Apollos?

And btw, it's your signature pic that kept me thinking about the Apollos - that's a great shot.

I'd surely question the use of Apollos if you up-size your brakes, with the quote in that brochure that reads

Will not fit XKR
- gives me pause

As far as I know, the brembo brake system is the only difference, hub specs should be the same.

And thanks for the compliment on the pic! I love photography and my car is a willing subject.

If you've seen Brutal's XJ, he put the Double 5's from the earlier XKR on his. Take a peek

and they can be had on ebay pretty readily, and a few calls to some salvage yards (try Ken at Motorcars Ltd and send an email/PM to JagtechOhio, they've got access to wrecked cars)

The Penta style is pretty nice, one of the better XJ wheels I think style-wise for your MY, they were originally sold on XJRs, brembo package may fit? Hard to find a price for a full set, ebay selling individuals and the chrome set, which I personally don't like. JaguarXP is selling at $500 each...yikes! A member already did an upgrade to the Pentas here. Just more ideas.
