Eagle F1 on S-type 3.0 - 2008?
#2
I had the Asymetrics on my 2004 2.7 diesel and was totally and completely unimpressed. Wet grip was rather poor and they wore very quickly. Not a patch on the excellent F1 GSD3s that I've used before. In my experience they do not live up to the price tag at all. Size was 235/50 R17.
GSD3s, on the other hand, I highly recommend.

Not sure what your exact reasons are you for considering the Eagle F1 over others but I'd say that its a good tire. Decent wet weather traction and cornering ability.
However, if you are spending that kind of money the I'd spend a few more buck and get the Michelin Pilot Sport A/s Plus TireVan - Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus Tires . Much better tire around the corners and will last you longer based on government ratings! Best in class in my opinion.
If price was a factor then I'd consider Yokohama S.4 which also a really good tire. TireVan - Yokohama ADVAN S.4. Tires
people also seem to rave about Continental Extreme Contact DWS, TireVan - Continental ExtremeContact DWS Tires, which is a good price also and a long tread life in the performance category. Personally, I have found it to be not as good around corners but maybe worth a consideration if you are driving a calm manner and don't corner too hard.

Many thanks for the detailed and helpful reply. Basically I was just looking for a summer tire in Dubai allowing best comfort and safety for routine day to day city driving
Not sure if OEM Pirelli 6000 are ok in wet (it does rain in here!) as per some online feedback
Generally the choices in Dubai are limited, top brands are present but latest models are not available e.g. latest Conti's available here are CSC3, Goodyear Eagle F1 A/s 2 are not available (even F1 A/s 1 is out of stock since 1 month)
Michellin are well represented here, but some say it can be noisy
Will check yokohoma to see if they carry the model you've mentioned
