Default Joining the ranks of the "grind growl and whine" sounds

2006 3.0 X-type, 39,000 mi, has the heard about front end noise! At first was hoping the tires were making the "whining" sound, (goodyear eagles) had them rotated all looked good but still whining.
But it seems to be a cross between a "whine" and "growl". And if you have a good left curve to hang onto it gets quite and smoooth like on glass...but turn to the right and the noise comes back. Straight driving also noise, bump to left just a tad and can tell difference.
Except for the noise it drives very good, changes out smooth has the get up and go, just worried bout for how much longer.
Any to point which way to go?

Sounds like you need a left front wheel bearing.

I agree - left front wheel bearing is bad. Making left turns unloads the left wheel (and transfers more load to the right-side).

I just had the pleasure of changing a pressed-in front wheel bearing in my wife's 2010 Honda Accord, at only 42K miles.
