I just bought some Toyo Spectrum V rated tires and I have to say they grip the road better than my dad's 02 Nissan Maxima with $200 Pirelli tires (Although it could just be the Jag!). They are normally ~$135 but you can find them on sale like I did for $105.

Falken ZIEX ZE-512 works realy good on those cars aswell dont know about the price though but we put them on every jag we changed tires on when i worked as a jag mechanic and they are a lot nicer to ride on then the pirellis

I'm running Riken Raptor ZRs on my XK8 and I love them. They should be at, or under this price range. Only problem being, they are high performance summer rather than all season. I've drive in the snow a few times with them and they are not good, but if this isn't an issue, you should consider them.
