Hey all.

I am about to lower my 2005 S-Type 2.7D... and it seems that its not a very common thing to do over here in the UK as no-one can answer my questions or share any knowledge!!!

I want to lower my car approx 35mm. ( planning to fit 19's or 20's ) I cant afford the coil-over set-up, so have to stick with springs.

Over here, i can only find two sets of lowering springs... one for my car, the 2.7D lowering only 25mm, and a set for the STR lowering approx 30mm.... so obviously, the 30mm option is more desirable to me; but my question is, is there much weight difference in the Derv and the STR... i.e, if i was to put STR springs in my Derv, would my car end up sitting eneven due to spring tolerances being different for the front and rear of each car?

Does anyone know of any srings lowering more than 25mm for the standard S-Type?

On the back of that, can anyone who has lowered their standard S-Type please share their story... what springs, what rim sizes and tyres... and buffing issues etc...

I would love to see some pics when it is done. I am having issue even finging pictures of what a stock trim S-Type (non-R) looks like lowered. Considering do it to my 4.2.
