I had a set of Continental DWS Extreme Contact's installed about a week and a half ago and I love them. They are super smooth and quite. Also great in the snow!
I mentioned this on the main s type forum (New Tires!) and got ripped by some people for the 93 and 95 load rating even though that's the OEM spec.
I think these are great tires so far!
245/40/18 Front
275/35/18 Rear
Speed rating y
912.00 out the door with nitrogen and lifetime pressure maintenance.

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
245/40/18 Front
275/35/18 Rear
Front- $125.00
Rear- $165.00
Road Hazard Front- $21.50
Road Hazard Rear- $28.50
Road Force Balance- $20.00
NC environmental fee (total BS) charged on every tire sold in NC- $16.60

Grand total $778.60 W/O taxes since I'm using the Black Friday deal, plus I'm getting a $50.00 mail-in rebate from Hankook.

Update:
I've had the Hankooks for almost 3 years and got 32,000 miles out of them with semi aggressive driving. The rears were 2/32’s and the fronts were about 4/32’s. I could have made it a few more months but since Discount Tire was having a special along with Hankook, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the exact same tires. They are a little more expensive but worth it.

My grand total was $997.42 upfront; I will receive $100.00 (DT Rebate) and $80.00 (Hankook Rebate) back.

All said and done I will have spent $817.42 for 4 tires mounted and balanced with RH/LSP/fees/and taxes.

2003XK8 Coupe.
I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 245/18 on front, 255/18 on rear (stock sizes). Originally wanted the Pirelli p-zero A/S as i am big pirelli fan at that time they were back ordered for months.
Michelins were real pricey even through america's tire but very very nice.
Very quiet compared to continental conti-sports.
I had the camber adjusted as flat as possible with 4-wheel alignment at dealer then got new tires.
At about 15,000 miles and lots of tread left, had right front and left rear road hazard (puncture and sidewall damage). I swapped left and right side but kept rolling direction the same (de-mount from rims, etc. -about $40) when i put the new tires on, this scuffed of any ripples that were starting on the tires that were already on the car, quieting them back down to like new and wore off a similar pattern on the new tires. This took about 2,000 miles in summer heat and was a little sqirrely as there was a lot more tread on the road on the new tire side. Once the contact patches were equal i swapped left to right again. Now outside edges are smooth and quiet, car handles great and plenty of tread left.

I have driven the car quite aggressively, live on a winding canyon road with hairpin turns and have not broken them loose on a dry day. Wet traction is great too. about $600 more out the door than the pirelli's (they were on a great sale but sold out) but not sure these won't give me the miles to stack up.

From a gee it makes me happier to drive the car, they were a good investment.
America's tire - backed the extended road hazard warranty (wothwhile with the cost of these puppies). I did have a leak and had to take the car back (wheel weight interrupting bead seal) but happy with service.

Cheers,
Steven
