02 x-type noise in rear

hi,
i have a 2002 x-type 3.0
when i sit in my car or people sit in the back i hear an anoying noise every time coming from what seems to be somewhere in the back support, the same thing happens when i go over a speed bump or small pot holes,,,
the noise sounds exactly like a oold door that needs greasing...
please help!

I have the same car - 2002 with the 3.0L and have the same exact problem. I suspect it could be a problem with rear shock absorbers as the problem began right after I jacked the rear end up to replace pads & rotors. The shocks may have become over extended. Please post any additional information you may find on this problem and I will do the same.
