Hey all hope someone can help me. How it started was my tail light went out ok kool replaced the bulb still no light drove to a friends to check fuses my husband pulled out one by one the fuses under the hood and we tried to leave and the car wouldnt start. Charged the battery nothing tryed to jump off the starter and the starter spinnes like it wants to start and it just won't. Someone help me plz I need my baby running.

 

First thing you need to do is take off the MAF sensor a little bit of starter fluid down in the intake. If it starts you have a problem with the gas system, if it doesn't then you have a problem with the electrical system. From there we can help you narrow it down more...

 

More then likely an electrical problem, seeing as you were playing around with the fuses. But, you never know with these cars.

 

Is the engine turning over but just not firing? - check the fuel cutoff switch hasnt popped out

In the UK the emergency fuel shut off is located in the driver foot well on the right hand side in a cut out in the plastic trim. In Left Hand Drive cars it can be found in the passenger bay foot well.

On top of this there is a rubber coated switch which you can press. If the shut off has activated you will hear and feel a small click when this is pressed.
