Default 04 X type Steering Shroud Help

I need to replace the wiper control stock on my steering column. The parts diagram makes it look like the cover is two pieces and unscrews. Is this the case or will I need to pull the steering wheel? Has anyone changed a control stock? I took out all the screws I could locate but the cover looks to be one piece that slips over the column. Any help is appreciated.

Try removing the instrument panel trim below the steering wheel, near the driver's knees. Could reveal an additional screw or two holding the lower & upper shroud sections together.

Hey Doug,
There is only 3 torx screws holding it together. Two close to the wheel and one tucked way in the back. Just remember you have to pull apart gently to bring it over the ign key round.

Hope this helps,
The Dr!
