Hi everyone,I'm new to this forum malarkey, so bare with me.i have only had this car since29-3-2014.i absolutely love it.but sadly it is refusing to start.r.a.c.got me going with a jump start to get me home.all other function are working.apart from starter motor".oh the alarm light behind gear shift blinks 'on turning the key."

 

Hi! Just had exactly the same problem. Had to call the AA. quick TOW and started straight away. Got it home tested all fuses and sensors. Found out to be the solenoid attached to the starter motor. In the front of the engine on my Diesel 2d. Remove air filter and see if you give the solenoid a TAP with a long screwdriver or similar as someone turns the ignition key. I did this and it fired up straight away. Replacement solenoid £8.50 plus postage.
Worth a try.
