Default Radiator Fan Control Module

Ok, it has been a long time since I posted. But I come back with another question... slightly absurd, but I feel like I should ask anyway.

I need to replace my cooling fan control module, I already replaced the fans themselves (motor, shroud and fans), but they still wont work, so it seems like the power isn't making it through the control module. Looking around on line, I see one that was specified under the Diesel Engine... I have the Petrol engine. I don't think it is a good idea, I'd rather buy the one that is put under the petrol engine category to be safe - but some people are telling me it'll work regardless.
Any thoughts on whether its safe or not? I ordered the one for the petrol engine regardless of what I was told in an attempt to avoid taking an unnecessary risk.

Also side note, I think last time I was on, I mentioned I would put up some pictures soon, I am just finishing some touch ups on the car (had a rough time during a road trip), I'll have the pictures up soon

Peel, look at the part number. If the number is the same, then you have the same part. If they gave it a different number, then I would be questioning it too. Part of it may simply be that you are looking at old vs. new when it comes to the controllers. Remember, they made an upgrade to the controller in mid year 2004. So, if you have the old style and bought the new style, you will also need the adapter cable.

Problem has to be diagnosed before replacing parts.

Default Update!!

The fan control module came in this morning, I replaced it with no issues and then tested to see if the fans would work, and everything checked out okay
