Default 18in wheels and lowering...

Got a silver 2002 X Type 3.0
Looking to get the Hotwheels Redline wheels in silver with 225/40/18 from discounttiredirect.com
Do you guys have any experience with a similiar wheel and tire set up with the X Type being lowered
on H&R Springs? Looking at pics, fitment will be close with the car being lowered.

whats the wheel offset? with 18's you need a 47mm offset. i have 38mm and cant lower it if i wanted too. be cautios, x'types werent designed to be modded up. And you cant roll the rear fenders either.

According to discount tire
the offset is 35mm

Am I for sure not going to be able to lower it then?
What if I went back down to a 17in rim and then lower it?
